Is there an age limit to Kamp Festival?

The event is 19+ unless accompanied by a legal parent. The parent must prove relationship to the attendee, sign a waiver, and provide supervision at all times while on site.

What time does Kamp Festival start?

Registration to Kamp Festival 2016 grants access to Whatshan Lake Retreat on Friday July 1 at 12:00PM. Any kampers interested in arriving on Thursday June 30 will be subject to a $20 p/ person early entry fee – Cash only. Come get those good kamp sites!

When does Kamp Festival end?

Kamp Festival 2016 registration allows access to Whatshan Lake Retreat until Monday July 4 @ 12:00PM.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

Nope! No dogs, cats, parrots, sparrows or lizards allowed. Only exception? Hearing assistance-dogs.

Where on earth is Kamp Festival located?

Whatshan Lake Retreat is located in the Monashee Mountains at the southern end of Whatshan Lake in the Central Kootenay region in British Columbia in Canada in North America in the Northern Hemisphere on Earth approximately 118.5W 49.5N. For more details visit our VENUE page.

Where can I find a ride share?

kootenayrideshare.com is a great resource for getting around the Koots! Also try posting on Kamp Festival’s facebook page.

Will I have access to electricity at Kamp Festival?

There is power available on site. Leave your cell phones in the car – You’re at Kamp. No generators or large sound systems.

What's the food & water situation?

There will be a selection of delicious local food & drink vendors to choose from in the Kampers Market. Clean drinking water is available all over the site.

Can I camp with my vehicle?

General Kamping is walk in only. Dont worry – The kamp grounds are very close to the Parking area. Read more in the Kamping section.

Sleeping inside your vehicle? RV / Kamper Van parking passes are available as an add-on to your registration. See more! 

Can we have a kamp fire?

Fire will depend on regulation fire ban in July. If conditions are good, we will have designated fire areas for ghost stories and smores! No individual kampsite fires please.

 

Do you have day passes for Saturday / Sunday?

We have a Saturday / Sunday pass, and a Sunday day pass available at the gate. Pricing will be released closer to the festival date. Please watch our announcements on Kamp Festival Facebook page or email us at info@kampfestival.com

Can I bring my children to Kamp Festival?

Yes. Children under 12 have free entry, and need to be accompanied by their parental units at all times. Age 12-18 require a youth ticket, and can only enter Kamp Festival with their legal parent. For more information on Youth registration – Please email info@kampfestival.com

I registered and now I cant go - Can I transfer my ticket to a friend?

Registrants are welcome to transfer their purchased ticket up until June 15th, 2016. Transfers are up to the purchaser, and not Kamp Festival’s responsibility. All sales are final. Purchaser must inform Kamp Festival about the switch by sending the names to payments@kampfestival.com

What do I need to bring?

A good attitude, open mind, and fresh ideas. Kamping gear – Tent, bedding, pillow, etc. Swim wear, running shoes, yoga mat, delicious foods, and your favourite instruments!

The hippie hole is great and all.. But are there showers available?

Coin operated showers are available in the Kamp Lodge and Whispering Pines concession area.
